P-51D Mustang

Here is a formation of twelve P-51s. One third of all flying Mustangs in the world attended Oshkosh 1987. In all, over 15,000 Mustangs of all types were built from 1940-1945. There are about 152 Mustangs currently flying, 56 are on display, 47 under restoration, and 25 in storage.
