Grumman F4F-3
Wildcat
This is one of two Wildcats recovered from Lake Michigan
by A&T Recovery. Although under 200 feet of water for 48 years and
sitting on its nose with the right wing broken off, the cold waters of
Lake Michigan had done an amazing job of preserving this Wildcat.

This aircraft is no longer flying. It was purchased by the Pacific Aviation
Museum in December of 2005 and will be on display inside their museum
at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. It's sad to see an airworthy aircraft locked
up like that.
