Curtiss C-46
Commando
The C-46 was developed from the Curtiss-Wright CW-20,
a 36 seat commercial airliner. It could carry more cargo than the C-47
and offered better performance at higher altitudes. Well over 3,000 Commandos
were built, but today there are only about 50 flying.
