Three high-profile public flights took place during
the week: the first public flight of the XCOR EZ-Rocket, a rocket-powered
Long-EZ; the first public flight of the CarterCopter gyroplane;
and the first Oshkosh flight of the Adam Aircraft A500 composite
in-line twin.
