Memphis Belle
The Belle spent several years on Mud Island in Memphis, Tennessee. Although she was under a tent, she was still exposed to the weather and the city of Memphis failed to follow through with promised renovations and a move to proper facilities.
The Memphis Belle was on static display on Mud Island in Memphis, Tennessee, until October 2005. At that time, it was transported to the museum where it is now undergoing restoration.
