The Counter Invader was a highly modified version of
the A-26. Redesignated B-26 in 1948, the Invader served during the Korean
War and was used as a tactical bomber in Vietnam. They were removed from
service in 1964.
Originally an A-26C converted to B-26K, this Counter Invader was one of the first six to arrive at Nakhon Phanom Royal Thai Air Force Base in 1966. In November 1980 it was flown to the museum.
