The Tiger I mounted the 88 mm gun and sacrificed
mobility for firepower and armor. It had 100 mm frontal hull armor
and 120 mm frontal turret armor.
Tiger tanks were expensive in terms of time, raw materials and money.
They had reliability problems, were too heavy for most bridges,
had a slow traversing hydraulically-operated turret, and only had
an averaged top speed of about 45 kph (28 mph).
