De Havilland Vampire
T.55 Trainer
The Vampire served in the Egyptian, Syrian, Jordanian,
Iraqi, and Lebanese air forces. At least three Egyptian Vampires were
shot down, and many more were destroyed on the ground, during the Suez
campaign in November 1956. One was shot down by Israel in October 1956.
|

The T.55 Vampire trainer was the export version of the T.11. This Vampire
T.55 wears the colors of the Egyptian Air Force. It was purchased from
Venezula.
