Vautour IIB

This two seat bomber could carry a bomb load of 4500 kg and was equipped with a glazed nose for the navigator/ bombardier. The 'Knights of the Heart' Squadron operated the IIA and IIB out of Ramat-David. The four IIB models were in service from 1958 until 1971, when they were replaced by the A-4 Skyhawk.

Sud-Ouest Vautour IIB
On 23 January 1962, a photo-reconnaissance Vautour overflew Egypt all the way to the Libyan border despite repeated attempts to intercept it.
