The C2 is an improved Kfir with full canards, more sophisticated aerodynamics and avionics, and four new stores hard points on the wings. The public saw the first C2 at an airshow in July of 1976. It entered active service in 1977.


Over 230 Kfirs were produced. They saw service in the IAF, Argentina, Columbia, Ethiopia, Ecuador, and the U.S. Navy and USMC. A Taiwan deal fell through in 1992.
