Sud-Ouest Vautour
The IAF Museum has three versions of the Vautour on display.
Following test flights in early 1957 the IAF selected the Vautour for
the long-range attack role. The planes, when delivered, carried French
air force markings and were ferried through a French air base in Tunisia
to avoid detection by either the Americans or the British.

Two IAF squadrons were equipped with the Vautour: the 'Bat' Squadron operated
the IIN at Tel-Nof and the 'Knights of the Heart' operated the IIA and
IIB at Ramat-David.
