The MQM-74 is a small jet-propelled aerial target for
antiaircraft gunnery and missile training. It's powered by a Williams
J400-WR-400 turbojet and be launched with the assistance of two solid-propellant
JATO rocket bottles.
During the Yom Kippur War, Telem UAVs were sent to lure enemy SAMs into
opening fire and giving away their location. After the war, the Telem
was fitted with a video camera and briefly served as a reconnaissance
vehicle.
