After the U.S. Air Force delivered the museum's
new F-14B Tomcat, they started the demilitarization process. This
included the removal of the Tomcat's two F110-GE-400 engines, which
will be retained by the Air Force.

The F110-GE-400 turbofan engine generates 28,000 pounds of thrust
with afterburner. This allows a normally loaded F-14 to accelerate
while going straight up. |
