Beechcraft
Staggerwing C17B
This C17B (S/N: 102), was delivered to its first
owner on September 5, 1936. Six years later it was impressed into
the USAAF as a UC-43G (42-88629). After WWII it returned to civilian
ownership with the registration number NC 47024 in 1946. It's now
owned by Christine M. St. Onge of Wexford, Pennsylvania.

NC47024's unusual paint scheme (most Staggerwings were painted in
earth tone colors) is based on the 1936 Sherwin-Williams Airplane
Finishing Specifications. The main colors are Horizon Blue, with
Light Blue (Army Standard), Insignia Red (Army Standard), and White
trim. Only 39 C17Bs were built between March 1936 to March 1937.
Of those, only 12 remain with 3 in flying condition.
