Hun Hunter XVI, S/N 44-90460 (N9246B), is owned
by Neal Melton of Luttrell, Tennessee. Its nose case is a C series
nose case that was installed in order to accommodate the Hamilton
Standard propeller, instead of the correct Curtiss Electric propeller.

This aircraft was delivered to the USAAF as 44-90460. The original
Hun Hunter XVI was flown by Capt. Gil Wymond of the 65th FS, 57th
FG, 12th Airforce. Of the 15,677 built only 9 are airworthy. |
