This 1963 photo of Midway shows the modifications from her 1957 SCB-110
overhaul at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. The most notable upgrades were
the addition of her angled flight deck and increased beam, enclosed bow,
and heavy duty catapults to handle heavier aircraft.
