Kugisho Okha 22

This Kugisho MXY7 K-2 Ohka (Cherry Blossom) is the last remaining example of this desperate technology. The Ohka was a human-guided missile, brought within striking distance of Allied targets atached to the belly of Japenese twin-engine bombers. The U. S. Navy transferred this Okha to the Smithsonian in 1974 in deteriorated condition and without wings.

An estimated 5,000 Japanese pilots died making Kamikaze attacks. The Japanese used the word Tokko,
or Special Attack, for their Kamikaze attacks.
