Northrop N-1M

Northrop convinced General H. H. "Hap" Arnold that the N-1M was successful enough to serve as the basis of more advanced flying wing concepts. Northrop subsequently developed the N-9M and the larger and longer ranged XB-35 and YB-49 flying wings. Of course, Northrop has now produced B-2 flying wing bomber.
