Clipper Flying Cloud
Boeing's Model 299, the prototype for the B-17, was developed
in parallel with a civil version of the same aircraft, the Boeing Model
300. Boeing's Model 307 was a straightforward conversion of the B-17C
Flying Fortress and incorporated its wings, tail, and engines.
