The Hurricane enjoied several advantages over the Bf
109. It could out-turn the Messerschmitt at all operational altitudes,
it could sustain more damage and return to base, and its sturdy tubular
construction allowed many to survive combat and return quickly to the
fight.
This Mark IIC was built at the Langley factory, near what is now Heathrow Airport, early in 1944. It served as a training aircraft during the World War II in the Royal Air Force's 41 OTU.
