This crash scene contains an authentic, un-restored Mitsubishi G4M1 Betty. On 18 April 1943 Admiral Yamamoto, while flying in a Betty, met up with a flight of USAAF P-38 Lightnings. Both the Admiral's bomber and a second Betty, with other high ranking officers aboard, were shot down.
