Thunderbolt
The P-47 was the largest single seat, propeller driven fighter ever built. Its maximum speed was 690 kph with a service ceiling of about 43,000 feet and a range of 1,600 km (3,060 km with external tanks). This was a formidable fighter, only exceeded in ability by the P-51 Mustang.
