Hellcat
The F6F-5 had all the modifications that the F6F-3 received during its production run, plus the flat windscreen of the F6F-3N, additional armor protection, changed ailerons, a closer fitting engine cowling, and a stronger airframe. Later aircraft also had an additional hardpoint under the port wing to carry a 1,000 lb (454 kg) bomb or the 'Tiny Tin' unguided rocket.
