This Northrop N9MB was flown in the 1940s as a 1/3-scale, free-flying, wind-tunnel model of the XB-35 bomber. It is powered by a pair of Franklin OX 540-7 eight-cylinder opposed engines. It took over 13 years restore this sole survivor of the original XB-35/YB-49 long-range bomber program.
