This version of the Hurricane was powered by a
1,620 hp Merlin 24 or 27 engine, but its speed dropped to 314 mph
(502 km/h) due to its heavier armament and 350 lbs of extra armor.
This particular aircraft carries two 40 mm Vickers S guns in each
wing. The Mk IV was used in fighter-bomber role for ground attack
missions.
