Hungarian Holy Crown

The object to the left of the crown is the Coronation orb, a fourteenth-century replacement of the original orb. The object on the right is the 11th century Coronation Scepter. It includes a 10th century rock crystal.

Hungarian Holy Crown

The Holy Crown of Hungary is the most recognized medieval object in Hungary. King Saint Stephen received a crown from Pope Sylvester II in the year 1000. The crown pictured here is also known as the Crown of Saint Stephen and dates from later in the 11th century.
