Arpad and the Magyar Tribal Chiefs
Encircling the central column are seven Magyar tribal chiefs on horseback, as they arrive in Transylvania. These legendary chieftains lead the migrating Hungarians to the Carpathian Basin in the ninth century. The seven chiefs are: Kond, Ond, Teteny, Tas, Huba, Elod, and Arpad in the front.
