Main Chapel
This chapel is entirely covered with gold plundered from the Americas. Built from 1482 to 1525, the sculptures tell, in a multitude of scenes, the life of the Christ. A wonderful tribute made possible by the murder of natives by the Conquistadors. The iron grilles were forged in 1518-32.
