T-55 Medium Tank
Egypt and Syria received T-55s in the mid-60s.
It had a more powerful engine than the T-54 and had a rotating turret
platform for the crew. It was the backbone of the Arab armies in
the 1960s, and many were captured in 1967 and 1973.

The T-55 was introduced in 1958 and evolved from the T-54. More T-54
and T-55 tanks were produced than any other tank in the world. |
