Soviet PT-76
Amphibious Tank
The PT-76 is a lightly armored amphibious tank
with a flat, boat-like hull that was build for the Soviet Army during
the 1950s. They are based in the BTR-50 chassis. Some were supplied
to Egypt, Syria, and Iraq. The IDF captured several but never used
them.

The PT-76 carried a 76.2 mm rifled D-56TS main gun and was used by
the Warsaw Pact nations, North Vietnam, Egypt, and other nations. |
