JS-3 Stalin
Heavy Tank
The JS-3, with its 122mm gun, was a successor to
the heavy Soviet made tanks that terrorized the German tank crews
in WWII. This one was captured from the Egyptian Army during the
Six Day War (1967) in the Sinai Peninsula.

The design of the JS-3 reflected Soviet combat experience gained in
WWII. The tank was lower than its predecessors, and the hull and turret
armor were more severely sloped to maximize deflection of enemy rounds.
