Hotchkiss H-39 Light Tank
Ten French made
H-39 light tanks were purchased during the War of Independence and
served with the 'Slavic' company (Russian speaking Jews) of the
82nd Battalion. They took part in operation DANY, the capture of
Lod Airport.
