The 15-ton Stuart was the last generation of light
tank between the machine-gun carriers of the 1930s and the heavy
tanks of WWII. It carried a crew of four and had a small 37mm M6
main gun that had limited combat value during WWII. This one is
an early example with British markings.
The British called the standard model, with a Continental 7-cylinder
radial gas engine, the Stuart III. When it had a Guilberson air-cooled
radial diesel engine it was the Stuart IV.
