Matilda Mk II
Infantry Tank
The Matilda II was used by the British in the WWII
North African campaign. With its 78mm frontal armor, it was nearly
impossible for the Germans to destroy with anything less than an
88mm antitank round. The Matilda Mk II was the first British tank
to have a diesel engine, and the only British tank to serve throughout
WWII.

The
Matilda infantry support tank had a 2pdr main gun and one 7.92 Besa

ceased in 1943.
