The Soviet ZSU 23-4 AA tank is equipped with four radar-guided
23mm guns. Several of these were captured by the IDF from the Syrian army
in Lebanon during Operation Peace of Galilee (1982). Their systems were
still indicating hits on IAF aircraft and IDF ground forces.
Egypt, Jordan, and Syria operate the ZSU 23-4. The IDF also uses captured
Gundishes. Egyptian ZSU 23-4s were effective during the Yom Kippur War,
and the North Vietnamese were very effective against U.S. aircraft during
the Vietnam War.
