The Soviet produced T-62 was the most advanced tank of Egypt, Syria, and Iraq in the mid-1970s. Many were captured in 1973 and used by the IDF after minor modifications. They became the Tiran 6, the first of its kind to fight with a smooth bore 115mm gun.
