Wreath Layings
This was yours truly at the Tomb of the Unknowns many
years ago. The soldiers that become Sentinels are extraordinary individuals.
In order to earn the privilege of wearing the silver Tomb Guard identification
badge, they go through several months of training and are tested on their
manual of arms, uniform preparation and their walk, and their knowledge
of 300 items they have memorized about the history of the cemetery and
the Tomb of the Unknowns. Only 479 Tomb Guard Badges have been awarded
since it was created in 1958.
