The Wright Whirlwind was a family of air-cooled radial aircraft engines built by Wright Aeronautical. The 5-AT-B Tri-Moter was powered by 420 hp Wasp C-1 or SC-1 radial engine while many earlier 4-AT Tri-Motors were powered by Wright Whirlwinds.
