Wyatt Fuller

The F-86E was manufactured by Canadair in November 1954. After Fuller purchased it in 2003, it received an extensive restoration at the Civilian Flight Test Center at the Mojave Airport in California and made its inaugural appearance at the Winston Salem and Camden airshows in 2004. The F-86E was well known for its polished fuselage and colorful paint scheme.

Wyatt Fuller
Canadair F-86E

Wyatt Fuller was killed in his Canadair Sabre Mk.5, on 24 July 2006. Witnesses reported seeing smoke from the wheels as the F-86 rolled down the runway, apparently from Wyatt's attempts at applying the brakes. One report said the aircraft suffered an apparent engine failure and ran off the end of the runway.
